Welcome to the University of Florida Lake Nona Research and Academic Center (RAC) UF Alert website.

This site provides information and directions for utilizing UF’s emergency notification systems for the UF Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona, Florida.

The University of Florida employs a multimodal approach to emergency notifications to assist in safeguarding students and employees. Since UF maintains a large campus involving diverse operations, it is important to understand that no single approach has the ability to reach 100% of the population. For this reason, as a student, faculty, or staff member you should educate yourself on the various notification methods available.

UF Alert is a compilation of procedures and technology that the UF Research and Academic Center will use to immediately notify the campus community upon the confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees occurring on the campus.

The UF Alert program is coordinated by the Department of Emergency Management in cooperation with the UF Lake Nona Research & Academic Center Facility Management and University Relations.

For questions regarding the emergency notification process, please review the FAQ section or contact emergencymanagement@ufl.edu.
