Crime: Vehicle Manslaughter, Aggravated Assault

Under the Clery Act, the University of Florida issues Timely Warning messages regarding Clery Act crimes which pose a serious and continuing threat to the campus community.

On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, the University of Florida Police Department was made aware of an aggravated assault, a hit and run vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a UF student that occurred on December 9, 2020 near 2000 W University Avenue. The family of the student have been notified.

At this time the suspect is unknown and is believed to have been driving a BMW sedan. The Gainesville Police Department is investigating this incident.
